Founders’ Story
Big Rock Exploration cofounders Rob Bergmann and Brian Lentz met in field mapping class at Winona State University where they completed their B.S. in Geology. After extensive independent work in the mineral exploration industry all across North America, they soon seized the chance to join forces.
Big Rock was born around a campfire, where Rob and Brian envisioned building a world-class consultancy that leveraged their expertise to deliver exceptional value to clients. What started with a single major miner client has grown to a vibrant consultancy with a client list that has included most of the major mining companies on projects of every commodity type across North America and beyond.
Today, Rob and Brian have handed off Big Rock to the next generation of leadership, but remain involved with the company at the Board of Directors level. To learn more about their other projects please visit the BRI.Group website.
