ABOUT BEN

Ben brings a love for the outdoors he’s pursued since childhood. While at Winona State University he studied minerology and immediately got hooked on geoscience as his chosen path to avoid a career sitting behind a desk. His professional field experience started with major projects in South Dakota’s Black Hills determining the deformation style of Proterozoic rocks, and in Southeastern Minnesota performing rock mass rating for sedimentary rocks used in engineering buildings, structures, and mines.

As a key member of the Big Rock team, Ben upholds our ‘Zero Harm’ policy because of his selfless approach and a commitment to looking out for others. He is a huge part of the technical team’s boots-on-the-ground excellence, being ready and willing to work any project on short notice. Ben brings passion and purpose to his work, and a drive to do what it takes to help the company succeed. Whether in the field of office, he is an efficient, effective communicator who is accessible and responsive to ensure project success.

In October Ben was recognized for his outstanding contributions in four key criteria that enable successful programs.

Congratulations and thank you on behalf of Team Big Rock!
